For the CA Final Exams, ICAI has introduced a new Self-Paced Module that lets students study online at their own speed. Content for four required disciplines is included in the module, and exam security is guaranteed by remote proctoring.

The CA New Scheme now includes the ICAI Self-Paced Module for four required courses, thanks to an introduction by ICAI. In order to be eligible for the CA Final Exam, candidates must pass these subjects with at least 50% of the possible points. Since all of the modules are available online, candidates can access all of the material and study at their own leisure.

The ability to easily participate in professional development from home, without having to pay for travel or accommodation, is advantageous to educators. After purchasing, candidates have up to six months to review the modules. The courses also cover extremely narrow subjects that are not usually covered in conventional IB professional development workshops and events.

ICAI Self-Paced Module

With the use of remote proctoring technology, applicants can take the ICAI Self-Paced Module, commonly referred to as the home-based test, from any place.

Please visit the Announcements section under Students on the Institute's website for details on the next practical training assessment. This data is also available via the test portal at https://pttest.icai.org.

ICAI Self-Paced Module: What is Remote Proctoring?

The ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test) allows you to take your exam from home using your computer, monitored by trained proctors for security. These proctors verify your identity and monitor your behavior during the test to ensure compliance with all rules. The system also includes security measures such as ID checks and room searches before the test begins.

To take the exam, you'll need a computer with 2 GB RAM, a webcam, microphone, and a power source with at least four hours of backup. Your screen resolution should be 1920 x 1080, and you should use Windows 7 or higher. It's recommended to use the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and an internet connection with a minimum speed of 1.0 Mbps. Avoid using mobile hotspots for internet access.

The ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test) is similar to the Centre Based Test, but you take it on your own computer at home.

ICAI Self-Paced Module Registration

To register for the ICAI Self-Paced Module, students should visit https://pttest.icai.org/. The registration announcement will be available in the Students section of the Institute website and the PT test portal.

The ICAI Self-Paced Module is not more accessible or challenging than the Centre-Based Test, as it follows the same assessment criteria.

Candidates must have a laptop or desktop computer to take the ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test), as mobile phones or tablets are not supported.
